Since 1953, Gesip has been working to improve the prevention and control of industrial fires. Its action is based on training and expertise in the field of safety of people and industrial installations.
Gesip believes that improving risk control and management is based on sharing experience and pooling knowledge. Industrial incidents, however regrettable, are a source of learning and new knowledge that should be integrated to improve prevention. In this respect, Gesip offers a course "Managing a team of operators in a crisis situation"(EURC).
The EURC course proposed by Gesip will bring you solutions to face a parameter deviation or an undesirable event.
The EURC course is a training course in which the following topics are covered:
- The value of understanding an event.
- Analysis of an event.
- Prevention and reaction to an event.
- Report on an event.
The objective of this course is to train trainees to detect deviations in the conduct of installations, events and accidents, in order to better anticipate them. Indeed, prevention consists in taking into account a set of causes, latent deviations which could lead to a technological or material accident.
These accidents lead to health risks for people, impacts on installations and the environment. The causes of an accident are multiple, they are not due to fatality.
Our course also aims to train operators and unit managers to provide them with the knowledge they need to react in the event of an accident.
These operators and unit managers are the first DOIs (Director of Internal Operations) as soon as an adverse event occurs.
Therefore, they are an essential link in the intervention chain by taking the first technical and organizational decisions. During the event, they will become the privileged technical contact of the PCEx (Operating Command Post).
Gesip's expertise in training
With its 70 years of experience in the field of industrial safety, Gesip has established itself as a reference in the field of safety training. The organization works to improve the safety of people and industrial facilities. Through its training courses, it strives to promote an HSE culture (Health, Safety, Environment) culture within the industrial sector. Our courses are given by professionals with solid experience in the field of industry and public safety.
Gesip's two technical training centers are at the service of the industry to contribute to the transmission of knowledge, to the knowledge of events and to the sharing of experience in the field of industrial fires. They allow training courses that combine theory and practice thanks to the capitalized knowledge of Gesip experts, their knowledge and experience, but also thanks to the unique full-scale infrastructures of our organization in Europe. The Gesip community also provides its partners and members with technical guides resulting from the work of internationally recognized expert commissions.
Customized training programs
Gesip offers training programs adapted to the needs of companies to enable them to comply with specific safety issues. Thus, Gesip allows its members to benefit from all the technical expertise of its experts as well as their field experience, while training on their own installations or with their own equipment on the technical platforms.
These training courses can be given in French or in English. Gesip can also provide services for the creation of training centers and develop accreditations for trainers in the field of fire, toxic or explosion risk management.
