Gesip is currently the only French organisation recognised for qualifying high-performance firefighting foams (Article 43 of the Ministerial Order of 3 October 2010, as amended). An official list, recognised by the French authorities and identifying foams that have successfully passed these tests, is made available exclusively to users on the Gesip website.
Foam qualification makes it possible to define a tailored application rate for each site, in line with Annexes 5 and 6 of the Ministerial Order. It helps optimise the use of foam concentrate and water resources, ensures accurate sizing of pumping systems and fire networks, and guarantees recognised operational effectiveness
At its Vernon and Roussillon sites, Gesip conducts performance and acceptance testing of firefighting equipment, as well as, more broadly, equipment designed to enhance safety at industrial sites.
Fire resistance, thermal insulation and protection testing are also carried out. Gesip’s facilities are available for specialised training and equipment demonstrations in fire safety.
With its testing facilities, unique in Europe, Gesip conducts performance and acceptance testing of materials and equipment designed to enhance safety at industrial sites. A wide range of testing scenarios can be carried out.
