Gesip is currently the only French organization authorized to certify so-called high-performance foam stabilizers (Article 43 of the Ministerial Order of October 3, 2010, as amended). An official, comprehensive list recognized by the French government, detailing the foam stabilizers that have passed these tests, is made available to users exclusively on the Gesip website.
The qualification of a foam concentrate allows for the determination of a non-standard, reduced application rate tailored to each site, in accordance with Annexes 5 and 6 of the Ministerial Order. It thus helps optimize foam concentrate and water resources, ensure that pump stations and fire protection systems are sized as efficiently as possible, while guaranteeing proven operational effectiveness.
At its two sites in Vernon and Roussillon, Gesip conducts performance and acceptance tests on firefighting equipment and, more generally, on equipment designed to improve safety at industrial sites.
Tests for fire resistance, thermal insulation, and protection are also conducted. Gesip’s facilities are available for specialized training sessions or demonstrations of equipment and fire safety.
Thanks to our testing facilities, which are unique in Europe, Gesip conducts performance and acceptance tests on materials and equipment designed to enhance safety at industrial sites. A wide range of tests can be conducted.
