Gesip’s Technical Department works alongside its members on industrial safety issues through four monitoring committees dedicated to:
These monitoring committees help identify the issues and concerns raised by members.
Working groups comprising their experts are then formed to develop a response that reflects the participants’ common position.
The purpose of these working groups is to address safety and environmental issues in light of current regulatory developments or feedback from the field.
This allows them to work on reading and understanding regulations, implementing firefighting and crisis management techniques, defining best practices for risk management, and more.
Most of these working groups result in the publication of guides or technical notes.
Some of these guidelines, which are cited in Ministerial Orders, are recognized by the government (DGPR*), thereby reinforcing their scope and legitimacy.
These guides are available in the website's store.

Effective risk management relies on understanding incidents and sharing experience. Since 1953, Gesip has been improving safety for people and facilities through training and the sharing of expertise.
Becoming a Gesip member means playing an active role in strengthening safety and joining a community of companies that share the same challenges.
