Technical provisions regarding the temporary or permanent suspension of operations or the change of use of a transmission pipeline (2006/03)

The purpose of this technical report is to ensure the short-, medium-, and long-term safety of people and the protection of the environment in the vicinity of transport pipelines that are no longer in operation. Compliance with the provisions contained herein does not in any way exempt the transporter from taking additional steps required by other regulations, particularly those relating to environmental law—including water management regulations—land ownership law, and the right to occupy private property belonging to third parties as well as public property owned by the State and local authorities.
