Since 1953, Gesip has been working to advance the prevention and control of industrial fires. Its work focuses on training and expertise in the safety of people and industrial facilities.
Gesip believes that improving risk control and management depends on sharing experiences and pooling knowledge. Industrial incidents, however regrettable they may be, are a source of learning and new insights that should be incorporated to improve prevention. To this end, Gesip offers a training course on “Managing a Team of Operators in a Crisis Situation” (EURC).
The EURC training course offered by Gesip will provide you with solutions for dealing with parameter deviations or adverse events.
The EURC internship is a training program that covers the following topics:
- The importance of understanding an event.
- Analysis of an event.
- Prevention and response to an incident.
- Report on an event.
The goal of this training course is to teach participants how to identify operational deviations, incidents, and accidents in order to better anticipate them. Indeed, prevention involves taking into account a range of causes and latent issues that could lead to a technological or equipment-related accident.
These accidents pose health risks to people and have an impact on facilities and the environment. There are many causes of accidents; they are not simply a matter of fate.
Our training program also aims to train plant operators and unit managers, equipping them with the knowledge needed to respond to accidents.
These operators and unit managers serve as the primary Internal Operations Directors (IOD) as soon as an adverse event occurs.
As a result, they play a crucial role in the response chain by making the initial technical and organizational decisions. During the incident, they will serve as the primary technical point of contact for the Operations Command Post (OCP).
Gesip's expertise in training
With 70 years of experience in the field of industrial safety, Gesip has established itself as a leading provider of safety training. The organization is dedicated to improving the safety of people and industrial facilities. Through its training programs, it is committed to promoting an HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) within the industrial sector. Our courses are taught by professionals with extensive experience in industry and public emergency services.
Gesip’s two technical training centers serve the industry by helping to disseminate knowledge, raise awareness of incidents, and share experiences related to industrial fires. They offer training courses that combine theory and practice, drawing on the accumulated expertise, knowledge, and experience of Gesip’s experts, as well as our organization’s full-scale facilities—which are unique in Europe. The Gesip community also provides its partners and members with technical guides resulting from the work of internationally recognized expert committees.
Customized training programs
Gesip offers training programs tailored to the needs of businesses to help them meet specific security requirements. As a result, Gesip enables its members to benefit from the technical expertise and hands-on experience of its experts, while receiving training at their own facilities or using their own equipment in technical training facilities.
These training courses can be conducted in either French or English. Gesip can also provide services for establishing training centers and developing trainer certifications in the field of fire, hazardous materials, and explosion risk management.
