Gaining a Better Understanding of the Role of Incident Commander

The goal is to provide certification for the position of incident commander and to foster a better understanding of that role within an organization.

This training program includes theoretical knowledge on the role, responsibilities, and conduct of an incident commander, as well as simulation exercises (based on 12 interactive scenarios) and a case study to be presented.

It certifies that graduates are qualified to serve as incident commanders.

The training program in detail

This four-day course is designed to provide all the skills and knowledge needed to:

  • Assess the initial situation,
  • Finding one's place within an emergency response organization,
  • Manager of field team leaders,
  • Define the objectives, tasks, and resources,
  • Ensure the team's safety,
  • Monitor the implementation of actions,
  • Monitor operations,
  • Provide updates on the situation,
  • Developing leadership skills.
