Gesip is today the only French organization recognized to qualify the emulsifiers known as particularly efficient (art 43 of the AM 03/10/2010 modified). An updated list of emulsifiers that have passed these tests is available to users.

AN UNUSUAL BOWL
The unusual dimensions of this 50 m long and 6 m wide tank make it possible to study the new generation of fluorine-free emulsifiers on slick fires in real conditions, over long distances with or without obstacles.
With this specially designed tank to simulate large hydrocarbon slick fires, it is possible to select the most effective new foams and develop new protocols for evaluating future fire suppression foams.
QUALITY CONTROL OF EMULSIFIERS
Gesip is also at the disposal of its members and, more widely, of industrialists, to verify the quality of emulsifiers in terms of their real capacity for extinction:
- Verification of performance on a 5.4 m2 bowl, but also tests on larger surfaces (45 m2, 100 m2, 200 m2 bowls, 100 m2 tank roof),
- Control on delivery,
- Follow-up on aging.
Gesip can also advise you on the elaboration of technical specifications in the context of a call for tenders.
TESTS TO ASSIST IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF EMULSIFIERS
Gesip also offers extinguishing test sessions in order to evaluate the performance of new generations of emulsifiers, in compliance with regulatory constraints and the environment, and thus contribute to their development.
